How special is Glock?

Glock has really set the bar for striker-fired pistols. But will they keep that top spot forever, or is change on the horizon?

Glock is still the gold standard but I wouldn’t be surprised if another brand surpasses them by delivering that same rock-solid reliability with a touch more sophistication. Competition tends to stir things up eventually.
