Casual Range Wear: What’s Too Much?

Been thinking about what to wear to the range lately. I mean, we all want to be comfortable, right? I’ve been out shooting a few times recently and noticed how some folks dress. Like, do you really need full camo gear just to run through some drills? Seems a bit much to me unless you're actually hunting.

I’ve started going with jeans and a simple shirt. Something low-key. No combat boots or anything super tactical. Just normal boots that I can stand around in for a bit. I don’t want to look like I’m about to storm a compound just to shoot a few mags.

Am I the only one feeling this way? Or is everyone else just as confused? What do y’all usually wear? I could use some input on what’s practical and what’s just over-the-top.

You're not alone, dude. Jeans, t-shirt, and boots are all you need. Full camo at the range feels like overkill, so just keep it simple, stay comfy and save the tacticool stuff for training.

I’m not competing. I dress as I do everyday so I can practice concealed drawing. I don’t judge if someone wants to wear vests etc… for mags etc… Be safe and have fun is the point. I meet a lot of good people at the range.
