Hit up a local lake in Alabama this past weekend, targeting some bass. Water was pretty clear and the weather was nice, not too hot yet. Used a mix of spinnerbaits and soft plastics, but it was a slow start. The first hour was dead, but then I finally got a decent 3-pounder with a green pumpkin worm. Just me on this trip, but had a blast watching the baitfish pop on the surface. What’s the bite like in your area this year?

Nice, that's a good one! I'm in Alabama too, and the bite's been hit or miss lately...early mornings seem best and I've had some luck on buzzbaits. Which lake did you hit up?
