How do you guys stay cool enough to hunt? Asking this because I got almost killed by the high humidity yesterday. Made it 3 hours before I had to bail due to heat exhaustion risk. Is there any clothing that would help with that? Or maybe some cooling products that actually work?Tried cooling towels, moisture-wicking shirts, and carried tons of water, but still overheated. What am I missing?

Cooling towels are okay, but try a vest with ice pack inserts, like the ones from Frogg Toggs, they drop your core temp by 10 degrees in humidity like that. Pair it with loose-fitting long sleeve shirts to block sun without trapping heat.

Hunt at dawn or dusk when humidity eases up a bit, and use electrolyte packets in your water to fight exhaustion better than plain H2O.

I bailed on a similar day last year, but that combo let me push through 6 hours next time.

I will have that in mind next time. What has your hunting been like recently?

Always remember that you're not a robot.Find some shade when you can. And seriously, try to avoid those long hikes during the hottest parts of the day
