Looking back at the SHOT Show reveals this year, which rifles stood out to you as having really original ideas?

To be real, the rifles that got my attention this year weren't about a bunch of add-ons but how the weight felt in my hands. Everyone goes on about what's new, but the ones that just plain felt better were the real winners.

Yeah right! Specs and gadgets look great on paper but the rifle that shoulders naturally is the one you’ll actually enjoy shooting.

Most of the new rifles are just the same old barrels with different Cerakote finishes. The Q Fix and other chassis-style guns catch my eye, but they don’t feel like game changers. This year, I’m paying more attention to what’s happening with ammo than the rifles themselves.
