Scoped S/G for Turkeys?

Debating on scoping my Turkey gun and would like to hear some pros and cons. I have a spare red dot laying around. I’ve never used a dot on a shotgun, just hunting advice.

I have tried both and dot definitely speeds things up in tight woods. The downsides are extra weight, battery worries and one more thing to fiddle with.

I ran a red dot on a turkey gun one season and never looked back. Tight woods shots felt quicker and cleaner. The only downside was battery anxiety, so I kept spare in my vest.

I am running a dot this year. It makes patterning a lot easier and gets the main body of the pattern to point of aim.
