There’s a lot of debate about whether lighter triggers truly make a difference in shooting, so let’s focus on actual results. If you’ve swapped out a trigger or modified a factory one, what pull weight helped you improve your scores or times? Would love to know on what worked (or didn’t) during drills or competitions.

Pistols or rifles? Makes a difference.

Rifle competition-i liked a 9oz trigger
Rifle hunting- 2lb trigger

Pistol competition- 1.5lb trigger
Pistol Hunting- 2.5lb trigger

I just about dont own a gun with a factory trigger. Most are lawyer safe and not good for much else.

Back when I shot benchrest highpower competition I used a 2oz. Jewel trigger. My hunting rifles are 1 3/4 lb. It definitely makes a difference but I don't recommend it to everyone for safety reasons.

I never could get the feel of a 2oz trigger. Even tried scrubbing the pad on my trigger finger with an Emory board to make it more sensitive. My hat is off to you, Sir.

I guess I'm "old school" when it comes to this. I just spent enough time with what I was shooting to know when, where, and how each weapon I shot trigger's broke. These days they call it "muscle memory", my Dad and Grandpa called it "paying attention."
