Load Workup for 9mm Subsonic Handloads

I’ve been experimenting with subsonic loads for my 9mm recently. Trying to find that perfect balance between accuracy and noise reduction. Would love to hear what recipes you all are using!

Well, I've been running 147gr subsonics, it is super consistent and quieter than lighter stuff. I haven't gone crazy with handloads yet, just factory for now..

I've had a different experience, the 147s felt a little sluggish in my setup. I actually get tighter groups with 124gr subsonics. It is not as quiet, but for me the accuracy trade-off is worth it

I'm running 3.4gr of AA#2 under 147gr FMJ and I need to check it again but it's less than 1000fps and decently accurate. Really quiet suppressed.

If you want to keep things nice and subsonic, try to hang around 1000-1050fps.

Group size really matters. You don’t want to just sit back and go with the flow if it means your accuracy is taking a hit.
