I usually begin at 25yards to make sure I’m not running around trying to find my shots all over the berm. Once I’m on target, I’ll switch to my actual 0 distance and make the necessary adjustments. The crucial part for me is what happens after the gun heats up. I’ll shoot a few mags, warm up the barrel and maybe try a different shooting position before checking again. If my 0 stays put after all that then I’m confident it’s locked in.
